About Our Weekend Encounter Services
Prayer Mountain, CO is not a church in the traditional sense. Our primary focus and mission is to be a place of presence, encounter, and transformation. In support of this mission, the Prayer Mountain family gathers weekly each Sunday to provide an opportunity for those who call Prayer Mountain home to gather corporately. Currently our weekend Encounter Services are held on Sundays at 10:00 a.m.
Like everything else that we undertake, our weekend services are centered around encountering God and His manifest presence. Led by the Holy Spirit and facilitated by our founding director, Schlyce Jimenez, each service includes an extended time of worship, testimonies, and prayer for the sick, so please bring the sick to our weekend encounter services. Additionally each week, Schlyce shares a Holy Spirit inspired teaching. She also facilitates corporate activations and encounters with the Lord and/or a group meditation in harmony with the move of the Spirit that morning. Services wrap up each week with individual ministry as the Holy Spirit leads.
Giving and Serving
The primary funding for the ministry is our partners. Without them, Prayer Mountain, CO would not exist. Those who call Prayer Mountain, CO home and primary place of fellowship and service regularly give their tithes and offerings here. However, we are committed to remaining a partner funded para-church ministry with a focus on ministering to the Body of Christ at large. Our model is non-traditional and our heart is that unless you are called to connect in a meaningful way to Prayer Mountain, CO's family, mission and assignment, that you find a committed place of connection and service in a local church. Children
Our desire is for children to experience the reality of God for themselves, to encounter His love, and have a hunger to know Him and His Word. We teach them that God can be known experientially and intimately – that hearing the voice of God, miracles, and operating in the spirit realm is normal Christianity. We want our children to relate personally with God the Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, so we focus on teaching them revelation that encourages the fullness of that. For our weekend services, we encourage parents to keep and include their school age children in the service right along with the adults. Our kids are typically found doing prophetic art, dancing during worship, and participating in group sharing. Younger children are cared for outside of the main service. We ask parents to use their discretion in determining whether their children are best ministered to with the adults or along with other children.
