The Sozo Ministry at Prayer Mountain, CO is a unique inner healing and deliverance ministry in which the main aim is to get to the root of those things which are hindering the believer’s personal connection with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Once barriers are removed the believer will hear and know God better, enabling them to walk in the destiny to which they have been called.

Using a range of tools and following the Holy Spirit, wounds are healed, strongholds broken, truth revealed, and “doors” to past damage are closed. Sometimes the Lord will direct prophetic ministry as well.
A BIBLICAL BASIS
Sozo is the Greek word which translates as “saved, healed, and delivered.” Sozo contains the whole package of being made whole or well.
- Salvation - "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you shall be saved (sozo).” - Romans 10:9
- Healing - "But Jesus turning and seeing her said ‘Daughter take courage your faith has made you well (sozo) and at once the woman was made well (sozo).” – Matthew 9:22
- Deliverance - "And those who had seen it reported to them how the man who was demon-possessed had been made well (sozo).” – Luke 8:36
WHAT TO EXPECT
Each Sozo is different because each individual is different and Holy Spirit will lead the session uniquely for each person. Our goal is to connect you with the Godhead through minister-facilitated inquiry with Him. Those receiving ministry will be asked to report what they are hearing, seeing, sensing or feeling or if they are getting nothing. For those who struggle with hearing from God usually there usually is great breakthrough in this area. As lies and wounds are exposed, the Sozo Minister will lead through the healing process. If any negative spiritual entities are uncovered, they will be dealt with in a gentle, honoring but powerful way. Often there will be more than one Sozo minister (up to 3) as additional eyes and ears to facilitate to process.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Is Sozo Confidential?
Ministry is confidential unless there are legal issues that are to be reported (danger to self or other/ongoing abuse…). Sometimes it will be necessary to share information with other Prayer Mountain ministers to facilitate to process.
2. How long does it take?
Sessions take 11/2 hours to 3 hours (usually around 2 hours when time permits).
Sozo is not counseling and is not designed as a long term ongoing ministry. Ultimately the goal is to connect individuals with the Godhead and give them tools to maintain their freedom and extend their freedom. However, in certain cases it will require more than one session.
3. Can children/family members receive this ministry?
Sozo Ministry is done on an individual basis. If families/couples are requesting this ministry, it will be done on an individual basis. Children can receive this ministry. It will be shorter and modified as appropriate. It will be necessary for a parent to be present with young children and often it is desirable for parents to receive ministry first.
4. Is there a fee?
There is a suggested donation of $50 – more or less can be donated. This can donated at the time of the appointment. We suggest donations because we do have overhead and are not externally supported. Each Sozo Minister pours themselves into the process contending for your freedom. Most people have reported that they are so thrilled with the results that they were happy to donate.
5. What if I cannot hear from God?
Scripture says that all believers can hear from God, so it is more an issue of learning how to use the equipment we already have and realizing that His “voice” may be word, a picture, an impression, a sense… Often as lies are uncovered and wounds are healed, the ability to “hear” God’s voice blossoms beautifully. This often is one of the most exciting parts of this ministry.
6. Can unbelievers receive ministry?
Yes. They should know that this is a ministry and we will be talking with God. Unbelievers also hear the voice of God. They are made in His image and He longs for relationship with them. Often as they are healed and delivered they WANT to know this God of love!
7. Are there people who would not benefit as much from this ministry?
Those receiving ministry should be able to communicate back and forth. They should be wanting freedom and have a willingness to cooperate with the process. Those with severe dissociative disorders (”multiple personalities”) would benefit from other ministries. Those that have not had significant deliverance from satanic ritual abuse prior may want to engage other deliverance ministry first. However, Sozo ministry can immensely benefit those having suffered satanic ritual abuse, who have had effective other ministry prior. Also, if those receiving ministry have a strong need to process trauma, they may benefit from more traditional counseling methods. Sozo is designed to heal and deliver rapidly through engaging the Godhead rather than processing.
8. Can I request a female or male Sozo minister?
Yes, you are certainly welcome to do so. However, we are not always able to honor that request, since most of our Sozo Ministers are not fulltime ministers. When possible, we try to have female ministers paired up with female persons receiving ministry and male ministers paired up with male people receiving ministry. We also attempt to have more than one minister at each session as extra eyes and ears, but this is not always possible either.
9. Are Sozo Ministers certified counselors?
No. Sozo Ministers are not counselors. They are anointed ministers who have been well trained in ministry, are mature in the Lord and overseen and accountable to the Sozo Ministry Director under the umbrella of Prayer Mountain. They have intimate growing relationships with God and are able to receive from Him on others’ behalf.
10. Can I expect physical healing from my Sozo?
The primary purpose of Sozo ministry is inner healing, not necessarily physical healing. However, when people are healed of inner lies and wounds and reconnected to the heart of God, it is easy to receive the healing that was already purchased for them on the cross. Any negative spiritual influences that can be associated with sickness and disease lose their foothold to keep sickness in place. We do often pray for physical healing and expect results every time. We have had healing from back pain, ear ringing, dizziness, incision site pain, headaches and skin cancer!!! We even had a spontaneous healing from long standing eczema healed without prayer after a Sozo (see below). God is into the whole package of wholeness and we right with Him!
11. Are you affiliated with any particular church?
The Sozo Ministry originated out of Bethel Church in Redding, CA and we have an ongoing relationship there. Our apostolic covering is from Prayer Mountain, CO in Woodland Park/Divide, CO. We have multiple relationships with churches in the Pikes Peak region. We expect to be expanding our relationships.
We operate in all 9 gifts of the Spirit, but are sensitive to those believers who believe differently or do not do so. We welcome all faiths and nonbelievers as long as there is a sincere desire to walk in new heights of freedom and the willingness to cooperate with the process.

Encounter Ministries at Prayer Mountain, CO are funded entirely by donations, which we call honorariums. The suggested honorarium for most of our Encounter Ministries is $25 per hour. A typical Sozo Inner Healing Ministry appointment is 2 hours long. Honorariums can be donated at the time of ministry. Checks should be made out to Prayer Mountain.
