Dream Interpretation

Dreams are clearly stated to be one of the means God uses to communicate, even though mankind may not understand the meaning or rationale.  In Numbers 12:6 God says, “Hear now my words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to  him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream”.

Job 33: 14 – 18 reveals the general Hebrew opinion of dreams: “For God may speak in  one way, or another, yet man does not perceive it.  In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men,  while slumbering in their beds, then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction”.

Dreams may:  Restrain one from evil (Gen 20:3), Reveal Gods will (Gen 28:11-22), Encourage you (Judges 7: 13-15), Reveal the future (Gen 37: 5-10), or they may give instruction (Matt 1:20).

In the New Testament, dreams bracket the life of Jesus.  For example:  Mary’s pregnancy is explained to Joseph in a dream (Matt1:20), the wise men are instructed not to report to Herod (Matt: 2 -12), Joseph is instructed to flee with his family toEgypt (Matt 2:13), Joseph is told to return to Israel (Matt 2:19), and not to settle in Judea (Matt 2:22).  The day of Jesus’ trial, Pilate’s wife has a dream about Him that greatly disturbs her and causes her to declare that Jesus is a just man (Matt 27:19), Peter had his theology, religious practice, and world view adjusted by a vision received in a trance (Acts 10: 9-16), and Ananias had his perception of Saul/Paul changed by the revelation he received in a vision (Acts 9: 10-17), and scripture tells us that in the last days the old men will dream dreams (Acts 2:17).

Dream interpretation is held at Prayer Mountain, Colorado, every Thursday night from 7 to 9 PM.  Just look for the Dream Interpretation signs.  If you cannot get time to meet with us just write down your dream and include as much detail as you remember and where you were in the dream (up looking down, involved 1-on-1, just observing, etc.) if there were any colors, etc. and mail it to KRudy427@aol.com.  Include your name and the word dream in the subject line.  Ken will forward the dream to all the interpreters and report back to you the interpretation.

Our Dream Teams are led by Ken & Kathy Rudy.  Ken and Kathy have known the Lord for more than 40 years spending 10 of those years as missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators.  Seventeen years ago the Lord sent us to Woodland Park for continued training in His grace.  Our ministry here began with teaching pastors and missionaries how to hear the Lord.  About 2 years ago the Lord gave us the opportunity to move out in dream interpretation.  We attended a class on the subject and upon completion we began interpreting dreams as a ministry.  During the last year the Lord has moved in other interpreters hearts to join us in this ministry.  Today there are 5 interpreters all of whom bring beneficial insights into the dream interpretation process.
